OVERVIEW
As an Analyst on the Insights and Analytics team, you'll bridge audience understanding, revenue strategy, and storytelling – partnering across Morning Brew Inc. to turn data into narratives that drive smarter decisions for our business and brand partners.

Your work will shape how we understand audiences, measure campaign performance, and build best-in-class advertiser programs. You'll proactively surface insights that help sales teams sell smarter, marketers plan better, and partners see Morning Brew as a strategic ally.

You'll also help grow MBI Insights as both a research practice and a product – contributing to proprietary research offerings, strengthening our insights brand, and helping steward our consumer research panel, The Breakroom.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Building deep understanding of MBI audiences across franchises and touchpoints using mixed-method research and creative data analytics approaches.
- Executing end-to-end paid client research through MBI Insights products.
- Conducting and synthesizing proprietary research (qualitative & quantitative) that informs proactive
initiatives with editorial and revenue teams.
- Using first-party data from across the business (ad performance, subscriber behavior, surveys) to answer key business questions and surface actionable insights across teams.
- Querying and analyzing data in Lightdash (our BI tool) to support franchise health reporting, audience composition analysis, and sales enablement.
- Supporting the growth and health of The Breakroom, our proprietary insights community panel, including community management, operations and strategy.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- 2+ years in a research or analytics role at a digital publisher or agency, working directly with ad sales and marketing teams.
- Experience with end-to-end survey work: strategy, questionnaire writing, programming, distribution, and analysis.
- Strong presentation and report-building skills, comfortable presenting to groups of any size – internal or client-facing.
- Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets with a solid grasp of basic statistics and research methodologies
- Proven ability to craft compelling, data-driven narratives that support ad sales and brand partnerships.
- Highly organized and self-directed, with the ability to manage your own workload and collaborate clearly across teams.
- Client-focused and strategic, with a knack for anticipating questions and delivering solutions.

HOW WE TREAT OUR WORK
Curiosity -- We learn every day through deliberate inquiry and exploration. We re-examine assumptions to be a better company, offer better products, and become better colleagues.
Accountability -- We celebrate our successes and own our failures. Taking responsibility for our actions allows us to learn from our experiences.
Bias Toward Action -- We know speed matters in business so we embrace quick and calculated risk-taking. We understand that many actions are reversible and therefore we are solutions-oriented, even when facing obstacles and challenges.
Challenger Mentality -- We don’t allow ourselves to be comfortable with our success. We are hungry to become the best and create more value for our audience.
Clarity of Purpose -- We understand the “why” in our work, which helps us to operate at our highest level of performance and efficiency.

BRIEF BREW HISTORY
Morning Brew Inc. was founded in 2015 by two entrepreneurial college students who noticed their peers were not consuming legacy media resources about business and finance news, but had a high desire to learn about those topics. What started as a small on-campus email has since evolved into a multi-channel media company that operates 20+ unique content franchises. All while maintaining our witty, honest and engaging tone that millions of loyal MBI audience members rely upon daily to better navigate the world.

In 2020 a majority stake in MBI was acquired by Axel Springer SE and in February 2025 that position was increased to full ownership of the business. Axel Springer SE is a family-owned, transatlantic media company headquartered in Berlin and New York that is committed to the values of a free and informed society.
