ABOUT ONEX:

Onex is an investor and asset manager that invests capital on behalf of Onex shareholders and clients across the globe. The Opportunity:

To support the firm’s continued growth, Onex is seeking an Analyst, Investor Coverage Support to provide essential assistance to the fundraising team. Reporting to the Relationship Managers, the primary responsibility of this role is to support the team’s fundraising and client relations efforts by preparing background materials, documenting meetings, and ensuring accurate record-keeping across Onex’ Credit and Private Equity strategies.  

The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This individual will work closely with Relationship Managers and Executive Assistants to coordinate schedules, logistics, and follow-up activities, helping ensure seamless client coverage and team collaboration.

Teamwork and communication are essential to success in this role, as the Analyst will partner with colleagues across geographies and strategies to deliver timely and accurate support. This person will be based in Toronto.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with research and the preparation of briefing materials, client backgrounders, and meeting notes
  • Update and maintain CRM systems with accurate and timely client information
  • Partner with Executive Assistants and Relationship Managers to coordinate schedules, meeting logistics, and follow-ups
  • Support the preparation of investor events, roadshows, and internal presentations
  • Track and monitor client interaction outcomes to ensure next steps and deliverables are completed
  • Assist in drafting responses to client requests and in the preparation of standard materials, such as pitchbooks or investor updates
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Coverage and Project Management on research, data collection, and coordination tasks
  • Monitor industry and client-related news to provide relevant updates to the team

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will bring a strong service orientation, professionalism, and a collaborative spirit to the Investor Coverage team. This individual will:

Additional Requirements:

  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in financial services, investor relations, client service, or a related field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with CRM systems and AI tools
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Professional maturity, integrity, and eagerness to learn and grow within the Client and Product Solutions team
