WHO YOU ARE:

Analyst OR Senior Associate, Capital Markets plays an important role in the execution and administration of QTS’ long-term liquidity forecasting, financing and capital market activities which leads to our long-term financial strategy.  You will have regular interaction and exposure to the broader executive leadership team as well as members of Blackstone, QTS’ majority owner and one of the largest and most sophisticated private investment firms in the world.  You will work as a key-member of a small tight-knit team in a fast-paced environment supporting our accelerated growth profile.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Supports the VP, Capital Markets in managing the execution and administration of QTS’ financing and capital markets activities and plays an integral role in contributing to the long-term financial strategy of the Company.

  • Provides analytical support for financing transactions and liquidity management through financial modeling, preparation of investor presentations, due diligence support and lender/investor engagement.

  • Transaction process management – interacting with bankers, lawyers, external consultants and other stakeholders.

  • Build underwriting, financing and liquidity models to evaluate and execute on a variety of complex asset-level and corporate-level financing structures.

  • Working alongside QTS senior management team and Blackstone to execute on capital raising.

  • Supporting due diligence efforts (in practice supports investor relations function for QTS’ lending relationships).

  • Synthesize large amounts of data and arrive at reasonable conclusions quickly.

  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • 3+ years of experience in corporate, investment banking or capital markets at a top-tier financial institution or relevant in-house experience at a company.

  • Experience with executing financial transactions such as credit facilities, mortgage-secured loans and securitization.

  • Advanced proficiency in analytical and financial modeling including ability to build comprehensive models including integrated income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement from scratch.

  • Ability to organize teams, lead internal outreach and project manage inputs from various stakeholders.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business, Finance, Economics or Accounting.

  • Strong understanding of real estate capital markets, data center industry experience is desirable.

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completion of major corporate, investment banking or capital markets training program with a leading financial institution.

  • Real Estate, Data Center or Capital Markets Experience.

  • Experience providing financial and analytical support to a fast-paced organization.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Ideal candidates will have a proven history of being extremely self-motivated, highly organized, and open communicators who are eager to work in a fast-paced client focused entrepreneurial environment with limited formal structure. 

  • Ability to organize, interpret, and draw appropriate conclusions from large volumes of data and to creatively present the information in a manner that enables non-financial managers to easily understand the information.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Enthusiastic attitude in a team environment and ability to work independently.
