The Team:

At Clear Street, our risk and margin functions collaborate closely as members of the same team. Your team will own risk and margin across Clear Street's business lines, playing a crucial role in the success of our growing business. This is a highly impactful position that provides the opportunity to expand both your quantitative and client facing skillsets.

You will:

• Work with the team to automate daily risk and margin reports for clients and internal prop/flow desks.
• Work on setting and monitoring risk limits.
• Work with the team and engineers on projects related to risk and margin platform builds.
• Interact with key stakeholders internally to explain any margin and risk related questions.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of professional experience n a risk function or related role within financial services is required to be considered, ideally we are looking for multiple years of professional experience.
• BS in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or related field required; MS in Financial Risk Management, Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics or similar strongly preferred.
• High degree of attention to detail and ability to manage complex processes, along with the judgment to balance risk/benefit tradeoffs.
• Meaningful analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Programming and/or database expertise in Python, VBA or SQL; ability to transform concepts and ideas into robust, automated tasks.
• Comfort developing relationships across functional groups and business units.
• Familiarity with financial markets and quantitative investment approaches.
• Highly motivated and have a strong commitment to completing tasks on time and accurately.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as thrive in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Investment industry experience, preferably with Prime Brokerage firms, Asset Managers, Hedge Funds, or Trading/Market Making desk.

We Offer:  

The Base Salary Range for this role is $110,000 - $150,000. This range is representative of the starting base salaries for this role at Clear Street. Where a candidate falls in this range will be based on job related factors such as relevant experience, skills, and location. This range represents Base Salary only, which is just one element of Clear Street's total compensation. The range stated does not include other factors of total compensation such as bonuses or equity.
