Responsibilities
As an Application Support Engineer you will be responsible for acting as a software detective providing a dynamic service by identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems. You are expected to be a subject matter expert collaborate and manage the team to perform effectively take responsibility for team decisions engage with multiple teams and contribute to key decisions. Providing solutions to problems that apply across multiple teams is a vital part of this role. Master proficiency in Engineering Support is required. Master proficiency in Application Remediation is recommended. Master proficiency in IT Troubleshooting is suggested.

• Analyze complex software issues and develop effective solutions to maintain system stability and performance.
• Lead collaborative efforts across teams to ensure timely resolution of critical incidents and minimize business impact.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying recurring problems and proposing enhancements to processes and tools.
• Provide expert guidance and knowledge sharing to support team members and foster a culture of learning.
• Contribute to the development and documentation of best practices and standard operating procedures to elevate service quality.
• Specific skills supporting the following areas is required
• Mainframe application programming across Johnson Controls application suite with focused knowledge of CARMS Walker Interactive and ADMIN.
• Mainframe core environment consists of Db2 CICS MQ
• Assist with BRDs RACF security third party software tax calculation and disaster recovery planning and execution
• L2 L3 Break fix
• Minor Enhancements
• Service Requests
• Problem Management as part of L3
• Daily system integrity verification cash feed reconciliation and interface feed checks
• Report distribution and adhoc reporting
• Programming language proficiency in IMS Db2 COBOL Java CICS MQ Assembler
• Knowledge of CA7 REXX FTP SFTP

WHAT YOU NEED:

• Minimum 5 years of work exp.
• Minimum 5 years experience in Engineering Support is required.
• High School Diplom/GED

BONUS IF YOU HAVE:

• Experience in Application Remediation is recommended. Master proficiency in IT Troubleshooting is suggested.

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
