As an Applied AI Data Science Lead, you will drive delivery of innovative solutions, while will fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence, including an emphasis on talent development. You'll work closely with internal clients and partners across CCB, set standards of excellence, and help build a unique environment for AI and data science innovation. Your work will directly impact the firm and our customers, while providing opportunities for professional growth and development.

Job responsibilities
  • Drive delivery of innovative solutions to complex business problems , with a focus on AI (including GenAI) and machine learning (e.g., deep learning, neural networks) solution development
  • Develop and execute test-and-learn frameworks for rapid prototyping
  • Translate insights into tools, processes, and strategies for the firm
  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal clients and senior leaders across CCB
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and excellence that empowers colleagues to share ideas and solve complex problems, with an emphasis on talent development
  • Recruit, develop, and retain talent through open communication and learning
  • Support initiatives that foster growth and opportunity for all team members
  • Maintain a rigorous controls environment for accurate and timely results

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Demonstrated mastery of data science techniques (e.g., descriptive, inferential, and causal statistics, model optimization) and machine learning (e.g., deep learning, neural networks, and generative AI)
  • Hands-on experience deploying Large Language Model (LLM) applications in production environments, including designing, building, and maintaining LLM-based solutions at scale
  • Familiarity with best practices for monitoring, observability, and responsible AI in productio n
  • Track record of mentoring and coaching talent, with experience building high-performing, collaborative teams
  • Experience working across disciplines, sectors, or cultures
  • Excellent communication skills , with an ability to communicate to diverse audiences (e.g., technical / non-technical)
  • Experience navigating regulated, complex technology environments
  • Proficiency in Python, R, C++, Julia, or Matlab

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • PhD or equivalent experience in a quantitative, computational, or social science discipline
  • Demonstrated impact through publications, patents, open-source contributions, or significant project outcomes
  • Solid understanding of cloud architecture (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Experience with containerization, orchestration, and CI/CD pipelines for ML/AI workloads
