You will partner closely with customers to understand their challenges, design tailored solutions and demonstrate how Lumi can unlock new levels of speed, scale and value from their data.

The Role

The Area Vice President, Americas Sales is part of our Sales Leadership Team reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for leading and growing a team of high performing Enterprise Account Executives. This role will be tasked with managing our team in the US - focusing on customers $0 to $1B in revenue and growing this region of critical business for the Company, by driving revenue and new logo growth. This role requires deep partnership across an array of internal partners to enable global consistency, best practice sharing and charting the next phase of growth for Imply in the Americas. 

This role includes sales leadership, creating sales strategies that maximize the team resources and engagement with key customers. You will create clarity, generate energy, and deliver success for our  Americas team as a whole. You will model, coach and care for your team while empowering and enabling them to manage the day-to-day execution of sales plays. You will develop a 1-3 year strategic plan to grow this segment including understanding the resources needed to drive this growth and the investments into operational excellence and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Enterprise Account Executives to achieve sales targets and exceed revenue goals
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to enhance their sales skills, product knowledge, and overall performance
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the sales team, encouraging teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Recruit and develop a top tier, diverse, efficient sales organization of Account Executives
  • Establish and deliver on a strategy to land new customers, driving customer success and predictable year over year ARR growth
  • Maintain key customer relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding the company’s customer base
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting
  • Manage the overall sales process
  • Monitor and analyze sales metrics, pipeline activity, and revenue forecasts to track progress towards goals and identify areas for improvement
  • Provide regular performance feedback and coaching to team members, conducting performance reviews and setting development goals
  • Prepare and present comprehensive sales reports and presentations to senior leadership, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities
  • Plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels
  • Work closely with Marketing, Product, and Customer Experience teams to align sales strategies with company objectives and market demands

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years demonstrated progressive front-line leadership AND direct quota carrying sales experience leading sales teams 
  • Multiple repeatable proof points of recruiting, hiring, developing, and retaining individual contributors that make-up a high performing sales organization
  • Deep experience selling into and acquiring accounts in core markets
  • Demonstrated progressive and consistent overachievements of annual quota
  • Demonstrated progressive experience in software sales, preferably with databases, analytics and/or open source experience
  • Proven track record of working closely with the channel for growth leverage
  • Proven success partnering with Marketing, Product, and Engineering peers
  • Demonstration of high levels of integrity, initiative, honesty and leadership
  • You share our core sales values, and work in accordance with those values
  • Must be adaptable, professional, courteous, motivated and work well on their own or as a member of a team
  • Polished presentation skills

Individual compensation will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications aligned with Imply’s internal levelings guidelines and benchmarks. The below range encompasses roles with on target earnings. This role is also eligible to participate in Imply’s equity plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.

Compensation: $320,000 - $425,000
