Art Developer

What will you work on?
As the Art Developer for Hellbreak TCG, you will coordinate the end-to-end art pipeline. You will serve as the primary creative liaison between external artists, game designers, and intellectual property (IP) licensors. Your primary goal is to ensure visual consistency and gameplay readability across all card layouts and product components.

This is an on going contract opportunity. 4 days in office
How will you create impact?

• Source, contract, and brief external illustrators, providing technical art direction to align artwork with world-building, tone, and gameplay readability.

• Drive the end-to-end art pipeline from initial sketch approval through to high-resolution asset delivery.

• Act as the primary creative liaison with external IP holders, managing feedback loops and securing formal approvals for concept sketches, layouts, and final art.

• Ensure all commissioned art, card frames, and promotional assets strictly adhere to external partner brand style guides and IP constraints.

• Design auxiliary game components including rulebooks, custom tokens, playmats, packaging, and marketing materials.

What are your skills and experience?

• Proven track record of managing illustration production and art pipelines under external brand or licensed IP constraints.

• Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and print production specifications for physical tabletop products.

• Strong execution of composition, color theory, and lighting tailored to an established brand.

• Deep understanding of trading card game layout standards, mechanics-to-art translation, and collectability finishes (foils, promos, rarities).

• Specialized knowledge of the aesthetics and history of the horror genre.

The anticipated pay range for candidates who will work in New York is $38 to $40 Per Hour. The offered pay to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc. Spin Master Inc. is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work only in other states.
