We are looking for an Assistant Financial Analyst to join our Employee Benefits team on a Hybrid work schedule.
General Purpose
Responsible for providing assistance and support to Clients, Producers and Client Relationship Managers on new and renewal accounts in accordance with the practices, policies and procedures of the Company.
Core Responsibilities (include but not limited to)
- Assist with the data collection process
- Assist with preparing analytics and reporting of clients for client management team on a regular basis.
- Assist in developing, enhancing and maintaining underwriting methods and techniques.
- Perform data analysis and basic financial analysis.
- Assist with developing claims projections for existing clients.
- Assist with financial modeling of plan design alternatives and developing client contribution strategies.
- Assist with carrier negotiations.
- Prepare FRP responses as directed and in conjunction with the sales team.
- Perform accuracy review of plan information before sending to client.
- Assist in preparation and delivery of client presentations.
- Prepare client documents, including initial results report based on RFP responses.
- Contribute to enhancement of client services/sales, be well informed and maintain a familiarity with industry trends.
Knowledge/Skills & Abilities Required
- College degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in brokerage, consulting, insurance, or corporate benefits environment
- Familiar with employee benefit products: medical, pharmacy dental, vision, disability and life
- Basic knowledge of health plan rating and underwriting concepts
- Knowledge of large group insured & self funded markets including captives, reference based pricing, etc
- Understands Consumer Directed Health Plans
- Accurate and high attention to detail
- Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and with a sense of urgency
- Able to work well in a team environment
- Ability to multi-task
- Knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
- Obtain your Life & Health License after a pre-determined amount of time employed by HUB.
The expected salary range for this position is $38.46/hr - $43.96/hr and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
