Why you’re here 

As an Assistant/Junior Site Manager, you are here to support multiple Site Managers in delivering high-quality construction projects. You will aid with on-site operations, ensuring that safety, quality, and schedules are maintained. With your 2+ years of experience, you’ll be a key part of ensuring smooth day-to-day operations by collaborating with subcontractors, stakeholders, and the Unispace team. This role will provide you with valuable experience in managing projects and learning the ins and outs of construction site management, while contributing to Unispace’s reputation for excellence. 

What you’re responsible for 

  • Assist Site Managers in overseeing on-site activities for various construction projects, ensuring subcontractor contracts, scope, drawings, and specifications are understood and adhered to. 
  • Support the execution of delivery strategies, helping ensure projects remain on track and meet deadlines. 
  • Help manage relationships with on-site stakeholders, including clients, landlords, tenants, and agents, by facilitating clear communication. 
  • Aid in monitoring subcontractor performance, ensuring quality standards and deadlines are met. 
  • Collaborate with the Unispace team to communicate on-site progress and performance, ensuring all parties are aligned on project goals. 
  • Uphold company culture, values, and behaviours in all site interactions and activities. 
  • Ensure site health and safety standards are kept, supporting the Site Manager in compliance oversight. 
  • Help maintain site cleanliness and organization. 
  • Assist in managing project schedules, ensuring all tasks and activities are completed on time. 
  • Support in completing punch lists and helping with quality control and quality assurance processes. 
  • Help with document control, ensuring on-site documentation is updated and accessible. 
  • Aid with site setup and establishment, ensuring smooth start-up operations for new projects. 
  • Support the implementation of site risk management plans, escalating issues to the Site Manager when necessary. 
  • Help with the project close-out process, helping the Site Manager in completing and handing over completed projects. 

Your experience and skills 

  • 2+ years of experience in construction project support, preferably with a focus on commercial interior office fit outs. 
  • Basic understanding of health and safety standards on-site, with a willingness to gain relevant qualifications. 
  • Familiarity with construction sequencing and building codes is a plus. 
  • Ability to read and understand basic drawings and specifications. 
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to support multiple Site Managers on different projects. 
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders. 
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and willingness to take initiative when needed. 
  • Ability to collaborate within teams and across disciplines. 
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality. 
  • Familiarity with project management software systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • A team player with a strong willingness to learn and grow within the industry.

Base Pay Range
$95,000$110,000 USD
