Our expertise spans the full cultural spectrum. We operate at the intersection of entertainment, social impact, corporate reputation, and consumer lifestyle, executing seamlessly across traditional media, social-first outlets, brand partnerships, and influencer ecosystems. Whether we are navigating complex crisis management, elevating advocacy campaigns, or launching global consumer brands, we are storytellers at our core.

If you're driven, intentional, and ready to do good, we're ready for you!

Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis has an immediate opening for a high-energy, culturally-connected Assistant to join our Talent & Influencer Integration team in New York. This role is the essential foundation of our creator practice. We are looking for someone who has a clear understanding of the talent landscape and a genuine love for the work. You don’t just follow trends; you anticipate them, and you consider yourself an expert on the influencers and creators shaping the cultural conversation.

Assistants are the engine of our agency. We teach our junior staff the skills they need to grow into world-class talent specialists; in return, we expect you to exhibit the professional behaviors, curiosity, and emotional maturity that define the most successful people in our industry from day one.

The Role:

  • Integrated Talent Learning: Exhibit a relentless interest in soaking up the ins and outs of the industry. You will learn how talent and influencer integration work alongside media relations, social strategy, and creative to drive a cohesive campaign.
  • Talent Research and Database Ownership: Own the lists. You will build and maintain meticulous databases of creator contacts and reps. You will move beyond data entry to provide well-researched talent recommendation lists for various brand and non-profit clients.
  • Cultural Intelligence: Act as the team’s radar. Monitor news cycles and social platforms to flag breaking pop culture moments, creator news, and competitive shifts that offer opportunities for client engagement.
  • Administrative Foundation: Support the health of various accounts by managing the administrative essentials: developing agendas, meeting recaps, activity reports, status documents, and budget trackers.
  • Logistical Support: Provide critical support for client meetings and events. This includes scheduling, RSVP management, and occasionally providing on-site staffing for influencer activations and talent-led events.
  • Professional Ambassadorship: As the first point of contact for guests and vendors, you will manage light office duties—such as preparing conference rooms for meetings or greeting visitors—with a professional, courteous, and inclusive demeanor.
  • Relationship Driven: You recognize that we are a people business. You lead by example in how you treat your co-workers, partners, and the media—prioritizing trust, integrity, and discretion in every interaction.

Who You Are:

  • The Emerging Professional: You have roughly 1 year of experience in communications, entertainment, or PR. You are ready to exhibit the behaviors of a successful professional in a high-stakes environment.
  • High EQ: You demonstrate emotional maturity and high EQ. You can read the room, maintain a calm demeanor when things move fast, and communicate effectively with senior staff and guests.
  • A Strong Writer: You are fast, persuasive, and detail-oriented. You can translate complex notes into concise, client-ready recaps or creative pitches. (Note: We are a pro-Oxford Comma shop.)
  • Entrepreneurial and Curious: You have an innate curiosity and a proactive attitude. You love a good brainstorm and are always looking for ways to make a process or talent strategy better.
  • Exceptionally Organized: You have an eagle eye for detail and can manage multiple administrative and research tasks simultaneously without letting a single detail slip.
  • Driven to Over-Deliver: You take genuine pride in your work and are willing to work select evenings or weekends when a project or event requires extra support.
