  • Prepare the quarterly Schedule of Investments and assemble valuation committee materials, coordinating with third-party valuation providers on portfolio company fair value marks under ASC 820.
  • Calculate and review management fees, carried interest, and distribution waterfalls in accordance with each fund’s limited partnership agreement.
  • Assist with product development, fund launches, and the formation of SPVs and co-investment vehicles.
  • Work with internal legal/compliance and the fund administrator, respond to investor inquiries, and support Operational Due Diligence sessions.
  • Maintain investment-level records across the portfolio, including cost basis, follow-on rounds, conversions, warrants, and realizations.
  • Monitor compliance with limited partnership agreements and side letters, including limited partner reporting obligations and information rights.
  • Coordinate the annual audit and tax process with fund administrators, auditors, and tax preparers, including review of partner K-1s.
  • Provide support to Galaxy’s liquid hedge fund products as needed, including NAV review and other operational work.
  • Embrace and champion the thoughtful adoption of AI to improve team performance and business outcomes.
  • Leverage AI tools (e.g., generative AI, automation platforms, data copilots) to improve productivity, decision-making, and output quality in your day-to-day work.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3-7 years of experience with a strong background in accounting
  • Experience with venture capital, private equity, or other closed-end fund accounting, including capital calls, distributions, and capital account allocations
  • Experience coordinating with third party fund administrators
  • Experience in managing audits of closed-end fund structure
  • A working knowledge of limited partnership agreements, including management fee, carried interest, and waterfall provisions
  • Familiarity with fair value measurement (ASC 820) for level 3 illiquid, privately held investments

Bonus Points:

  • CPA preferred
  • Experience in digital assets/crypto currencies
  • Experience with venture-stage instruments such as SAFEs, convertible notes, token warrants, and direct token investment
  • Experience with SPVs and co-investment vehicles
  • Experience in client service or communicating directly with stakeholders

What We Offer:

  • Competitive base salary and discretionary bonus
  • Hybrid/Flexible Working Arrangements
  • Flexible Time Off (paid)
  • 3% 401(k) company contribution
  • Company-paid health and protective benefits for employees, partners, and other dependents
