Global Atlantic is looking for an Associate Actuary to join the Bermuda Actuarial team. This role will be based in our Hamilton, Bermuda office. Along with supporting the quarterly valuation production process, the Associate Actuary will also act as a liaison between Actuarial, IT, Risk, and Finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Involvement in the end-to-end process for Best Estimate Liability (BEL) for the Bermuda Economic Balance Sheet (EBS) framework
  • Analyze BEL results and communicate insights clearly
  • Perform and interpret stress and sensitivity testing to inform management decision-making
  • Contributing to the modernization efforts of the production process
  • Prepare clear, comprehensive documentation supporting internal governance, audit, and regulatory reviews

Required & Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in the (re)insurance industry
  • ASA (or equivalent) actively working toward Fellowship designation, or FSA/equivalent
  • Strong understanding of life and annuity products
  • Strong technical and communication skills
  • Coding language experience required (Python preferred)
  • Strong Excel knowledge (Power Query a plus)
  • Actuarial modeling software experience a plus (MG ALFA preferred)
