Job Title: Associate, Application Engineer

Job Duties: Collaborate with diverse teams to develop and maintain a globally consistent operational platform, utilizing skills in C#, .NET, Java, Spring, and Angular. Provide operational support by leveraging SQL Server to ensure data integrity and accessibility for post-trade processes. Assist in the execution of strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and product coverage, employ Kafka for real-time data processing and integration. Integrate with platforms like Aladdin, using GRpc to facilitate efficient inter-service communication. Develop user interfaces with JavaScript, TypeScript, and Angular, contributing to responsive and user-friendly designs. Handle server-side operations using Java, Hibernate, Spring, and Perl, managing complex business logic and database interactions. Build scalable and modular front-end architectures through Micro Frontends (MFE), ensuring adaptability and future growth. Review the work of peers to ensure quality and adherence to best practices. Create and maintain comprehensive wiki pages that document our processes and systems. Mentor and guide interns and new joiners, sharing knowledge and fostering a learning environment. Contribute to the design and architecture of our systems, ensuring they are robust and scalable.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or related field and 24 months of experience in a Software Developer, QA Analyst, or related occupation. Requires 24 months of experience in each of the following skills:
1. Ability to query data within large datasets in a business environment: Data warehousing solutions including MySQL, SQL Server, Sybase IQ, or Snowflake; 2. Proficiency with programming languages: Java, C#, .Net or Python including test driven development and object-oriented design and programming; 3. Hands-on experience with multi-threaded MVC applications (REST or gRPC); 4. Exposure to UI development tools: Angular, React, Bootstrap, JavaScript, or jQuery; 5. Hands-on experience with Git or Maven; 6. Utilizing Agile development methodologies using Azure DevOps, Sprint cycles, Scrum ceremonies; and 7. Prior experience with Post Trade technologies and functional workflows.

For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$154,800.00 - USD$162,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
