At AREA 17, we believe we can help the world be more open, resilient, and optimistic. We work with clients we trust and admire across various industries, including Saint Laurent, OpenAI, the International Energy Agency, Foundation Louis Vuitton, and The New York Times. We build long-term partnerships by delivering value through brand, experience, and technology.
AREA 17 is partnered with Craft on the launch of the 2026 Cohort, a structured entry point designed to grow and nurture junior talent into the leaders of tomorrow. You'll work in small, autonomous teams alongside senior strategists and designers, learning by doing rather than sitting on the sidelines with colleagues at the same stage of their careers.
You'd lead brand design across digital-first projects, translating strategic positioning into visual systems and identities. Concepting and executing motion, typography, system design, and identity work, you’ll move between them depending on the brief.
Work runs in two modes: six-to-eight-week acceleration sprints that get brands to market, and six-month-plus transformations that leave clients with brand infrastructure they can own. You'll sit in small, autonomous teams alongside strategists, building for AI, climate, health, and arts-and-culture clients.
Requirements
You're early-career but past your first studio job - a couple of years in brand or design somewhere. You’re ideas-first, with real conceptual and typographic strength, and you pull references from well beyond graphic design.
You can read strategy and use design to express it. Curious about AI tools, but you don't need to be fluent in them yet.
