About the Role:

Reach Financial is seeking a highly motivated Associate Counsel with at least 3 years of experience, ideally in a law firm setting. The ideal candidate has strong litigation skills—preferably in consumer arbitrations—and is eager to transition to an in-house legal role supporting a fast-paced financial services company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support internal and external counsel in managing litigation and arbitration matters, with a focus on consumer claims.
  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, correspondence, motion-level documents, and appear at arbitration evidentiary hearings.
  • Review and negotiate commercial agreements, NDAs, and vendor contracts.
  • Assist with regulatory compliance matters, including state licensing, consumer protection laws, and advertising review.
  • Interpret federal and state statutes, including CROA, TILA, TCPA, FDCPA, FCRA, and UDAP laws.
  • Monitor legal developments and assist in updating company policies and procedures accordingly.
  • Participate in internal investigations, audit responses, and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with business teams on product design, customer communications, and operational issues.

Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school; admitted to practice and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • 3 years of legal experience, preferably with a litigation or arbitration background.
  • Strong research, writing, and computer skills are a must.
  • Familiarity with consumer finance or fintech preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage multiple priorities.
  • A collaborative mindset and interest in learning the business side of legal practice.
  • Ready to hit the ground running.
