The Associate Counsel will provide legal advice, support contract negotiations, manage legal risks, and ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.
We are looking for an ambitious and proactive Associate Counsel to join our growing Legal Team.
As Associate Counsel, you will provide legal advice and help ensure efficiency in legal processes and operations. Day-to-day, you will have the opportunity to support a broad range of legal work, including contract drafting and negotiation, deal execution, regulatory filings, legal research, fund formation and maintenance and various special projects.
You will work within a team of accomplished and supportive attorneys to find novel solutions to complex legal and regulatory challenges. No one day will look exactly the same as the next.

What you'll do:
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including investor related agreements, vendor agreements and NDAs
- Provide legal advice on general corporate matters, governance and regulatory matters affecting the business and its initiatives
- Support business teams on operational, commercial, and strategic initiatives from a legal perspective
- Manage and mitigate legal risk in day-to-day business operations
- Liaise with external counsel on specialized legal matters
- Maintain corporate records and ensure compliance with statutory obligations and filings
- Provide guidance and support to Finance and HR functions
- Contribute to the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures
Our ideal candidate:
- 1-3 years of experience in a legal counsel role, preferably in a finance or investment environment
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to the New York State Bar Association
- Knowledge of digital assets is preferred but not essential
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Ability to provide practical, commercially minded legal advice
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues to non-legal stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Sound judgment and decision-making in a fast-paced environment
