About the role


The Associate Media Director (AMD), B2B Performance Marketing, will serve as the strategic lead for performance media across a large enterprise client within the financial technology/payments space. This individual will oversee full-funnel demand generation strategy, lead a cross-functional team, and partner with agency leadership to connect brand awareness investments with measurable business outcomes.


This role requires a highly strategic thinker who understands how paid media influences every stage of the customer journey—from awareness through pipeline generation and customer acquisition. The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing enterprise B2B media programs and is equally comfortable discussing attribution models with analytics teams, presenting strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders, and coaching junior team members. This position will work closely with agency leadership to continue expanding the agency's performance marketing capabilities while serving as a trusted strategic advisor to the client.


What you'll do


Lead Performance Media Strategy

  • Develop annual and quarterly performance marketing strategies aligned with client business objectives.
  • Lead cross-channel planning across Search, Paid Social, Programmatic, Display and Remarketing.
  • Partner with senior agency leadership to build integrated full-funnel media plans that connect awareness initiatives to downstream business outcomes.
  • Establish channel investment strategies based on business priorities, customer acquisition goals and pipeline contribution.
  • Identify opportunities to improve media efficiency while maximizing lead quality and revenue impact.
  • Drive innovation through ongoing testing frameworks, audience expansion strategies and platform advancements.


Strategic Performance Leadership


  • Provide strategic oversight across: Google Search, Microsoft Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Meta, Demand Generation campaigns, Remarketing, Performance Max and affiliate marketing


Measurement, Attribution & Analytics

  • Serve as the agency's subject matter expert on performance measurement.
  • Responsibilities include: Offline Conversion Imports, CRM integrations, Salesforce reporting, Marketing attribution models, Pipeline reporting, Revenue attribution, multi-touch attribution, Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Cost per Opportunity, Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs), Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs), Closed Won reporting
  • Translate complex performance data into strategic business recommendations that connect media investment directly to revenue outcomes.


Client Leadership


  • Act as the senior day-to-day strategic partner for the client by leading quarterly business reviews, facilitating executive presentations, guiding media investment decisions, recommending budget reallocations.
  • Confidently communicate with executive stakeholders and provide consultative recommendations backed by data.


Team Leadership


  • Guide, coach, and mentor a team of Supervisors, Senior Planners, and Planners, directly supporting their career development and professional growth.
  • Review strategic recommendations and audit media plans to ensure high-quality delivery, while training team members on advanced optimization strategies.
  • Establish media planning best practices and foster collaboration across paid media, analytics, strategy, and creative teams to drive unified campaign success.

Qualifications

  • 8–10+ years of digital media experience
  • Experience with B2B demand generation programs
  • Agency experience strongly preferred
  • Experience leading integrated media teams
  • Proven success presenting to executive-level clients

Platform Expertise

  • Expert proficiency in: Google Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Meta Ads Manager, GA4, Looker Studio or equivalent BI tools, Salesforce reporting


The pay range for this role is:

$100,000 - $110,000 per year (Hybrid (New York, NY))
