Avenue Z is seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate Director to join our rapidly growing team. In this leadership role, the Associate Director will spearhead communications strategy, planning, reporting, and engagement and outreach initiatives for our esteemed technology, corporate, and consumer clients. Additionally, the Associate Director will actively contribute to new business endeavors, ensuring the continued success and growth of the firm.


Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Oversee high-profile client accounts, setting strategic priorities and ensuring the successful execution of communication plans.
    • Drive thought leadership campaigns, showcasing expertise and innovation in the PR industry.
  • Content Development:
    • Write, edit, and proofread materials to maintain high quality and consistency in communication deliverables.
    • Craft compelling pitches, press releases, and contributed articles to elevate client visibility.
  • Project Prioritization and Management:
    • Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and budget-conscious completion.
    • Provide strategic guidance to the team in executing day-to-day communication programs.
  • Strategic Development:
    • Contribute to the development of strategic recommendations that address client challenges and capitalize on opportunities for both current clients and prospects.
  • Mentorship and Team Support:
    • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff, fostering their professional development.
    • Collaborate with team members to create a positive and collaborative work environment.


Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in PR/marketing or relevant experience in fintech/tech/VC firms.
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and a passion for excellence in work.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to handle and manage stressful situations.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, along with exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree; Master’s/MBA preferred.
