SUMMARY: 

JASA Services Manager is responsible for leading a team of 4 direct reports and a team  of 11 individuals. The role is responsible for the financial management of the  Community Guardian Program. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Managing two direct reports and a team of 9 individuals and 1 temp for the financial management of the community guardian program.

  • Working cross-functionally with Legal, Program, IT and Retained counsel when needed

  • Preparing financial component of the annuals (approximately 650 clients due May 31)

  • Oversee the process of formally responding to the Court Examiner's Testimony questions

  • Reviewing discharges and responsible for notarizing the packages for finals and Zeros

  • Identifying and preparing tax returns for clients who are required to file taxes

  • Coordinate with the Social Security Administration to migrate bank accounts from Apple to Signature bank.

  • Reviewing accounts for clients who are over resourced.

  • Managing the timing processing of income and disbursements for approximately 900 clients.

  • Oversee Human Resource Administration reporting requirements including Monthly Legal invoices paid by the clients and changes in employee staffing

  • Ensuring digital documentation of all invoices and records by client

  • Accuracy of the account balances in FundEz

  • Coordinating audit support for the annual financial audit of JASA Services

  • Improving processes against the corrective action plan


QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • BS in Accounting with at least seven years general ledger experience

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet all deadlines

  • Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Suite, Gmail and general ledger systems. Must be willing to learn and use program-specific software

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proactive in recommending more efficient processes for increased productivity
