This Role

As an Associate in our Funds group, you will focus on the formation, negotiation, and management of investment vehicles by leveraging AI agents to enhance document drafting, comparison, and negotiation across fund agreements and investor documentation. You’ll work on fund formation, side letters, subscription agreements, and compliance documents while deploying AI tools that streamline these complex workflows.

This is a forward-looking role for Associates who want to be at the forefront of integrating AI into the delivery of high-quality transactional legal work.

In this role, you’ll support:
  • Fund Document Drafting: Use AI tools to generate, compare, and review limited partnership agreements, subscription documents, and side letters.

  • Investor Negotiations: Employ AI-driven analytics to benchmark terms, flag deviations, and prepare client summaries of key provisions.

  • Regulatory Interface: Coordinate with compliance teams using AI agents to ensure fund structures align with SEC, CFTC, ERISA and other applicable requirements.

  • Knowledge Management: Leverage AI tools to capture institutional knowledge, precedent clauses, and negotiation patterns across deals.

  • Collaboration with Tech: Work closely with technology teams to continue to make the deal process even more efficient using AI.

Skills & Experience:
  • Juris Doctor (JD); admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

  • 3-6 years of experience in investment funds, investment management, or financial transactions.

  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.

  • Curiosity and openness to using AI tools to improve precision and efficiency.

  • No prior AI experience required.

What Success Looks Like:
  • 30 Days: Learn the firm’s AI platforms and key fund formation workflows.

  • 60 Days: Independently use AI agents to support fund documentation and investor negotiations.

  • 90 Days: Lead AI-augmented workstreams across multiple fund formation matters, using AI to enhance quality, speed, and client service.

Comp and Benefits

$270,000 - $410,000

The range displayed in this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salary for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including job-related skills (as uncovered during the interview process), experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed here reflect the base salary only. Our comprehensive benefits package includes a 401(k) plan with an employer match.
