Job Description

Position Summary

The Associate, Investments is a key contributor to the firm’s real estate investment strategy, supporting the sourcing, evaluation, and execution of opportunities across a diversified portfolio. This role partners closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver rigorous financial analysis, underwriting, and due diligence that inform investment decisions. Ideal for a highly analytical professional, this position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in institutional-quality transactions while playing a meaningful role in driving portfolio growth and performance.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and maintenance of complex financial models, ensuring integrity of structure, assumptions, and outputs across acquisitions, dispositions, and portfolio analyses.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities through detailed cash flow modeling, analysis or key return metrics such as IRR, NPV, and equity multiples, and scenario-based sensitivity assessments to inform risk-adjusted decision making.  
  • Conduct market research, comparable analysis, and supply/demand evaluations to support underwriting assumptions and investment strategy.
  • Sensitize key financial variables and assess risk-adjusted returns across multiple scenarios.
  • Evaluate implications of capital structure, debt financing, tax considerations, and accounting impacts on investment performance.
  • Support the full transaction lifecycle, including sourcing, underwriting, due diligence, and closing activities.
  • Perform and coordinate comprehensive due diligence, including review of leases, operating statements, third-party reports, and legal documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of clear and compelling investment memos, committee presentations, and board materials for internal stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Contribute to drafting offer letters, term sheets, and transaction summaries.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders including legal, tax, accounting, and financing teams throughout the transaction process.
  • Contribute to portfolio and asset-level analysis to inform investment strategy by developing insights on performance, identifying value creation opportunities, and evaluating broader market trends and sector dynamics.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications          

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field.
  • At least two years of relevant experience in investment banking, real estate private equity, asset management, or corporate finance.
  • Strong financial modeling and valuation experience, with the ability to build and interpret complex investment analyses.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with experience creating clear, presentation-ready materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Proficient in Argus or similar real estate financial modeling software required.

Compensation

Salary type: Exempt 

Pay Frequency: Bi-weekly

Annual Base Salary Range: $135,000 to $180,000
