Your Team's Impact 

The Institutional Buyside business unit at FactSet is dedicated to delivering innovative tools for portfolio management, quantitative research, risk analysis, performance & attribution, and execution management. We serve the world’s largest asset managers, asset owners, and insurance companies, helping them navigate the complexities of the investment lifecycle with confidence.

You will be contributing to the critical foundational infrastructure of IBS products with a focus on portfolio metadata and administration. This role sits at the intersection of client workflows and scalable technology to ensure our products offer a first-class user experience.

What You'll Do 

  • Derive actionable insights from client and prospect feedback, market research, and product discovery activities to identify and validate product opportunities.
  • Define key metrics to measure product outcomes and success.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on product quality and troubleshooting, supporting internal teams and providing guidance to junior team members.
  • Prioritize and address critical product issues; partner with Product Managers to clearly define and experiment within the problem space before implementing fixes.
  • Differentiate bugs from user error and escalate issues to Engineering when necessary.
  • Collaborate with development teams to define user needs and acceptance criteria, and clarify requirements for iteration.
  • Lead instrumentation and reporting of key product metrics.
  • Provide timely, candid feedback to cross-functional team members.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members to support their growth and development.

What We're Looking For 

Required Skills 

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM, finance, economics, or other relevant field, or equivalent experience
  • 2-4 years relevant experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot client issues and solve them with a combination of creativity, analytical skills and subject matter expertise.
  • Understands how to leverage tools and frameworks for product management such as user personas, empathy mapping, and prioritization frameworks.
  • Developing a product mindset. Does not take orders from stakeholders but rather starts by defining the problems, goals and needs, and then experiments to uncover the best solution.

Salary is just one component of our compensation package and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, and certifications. 

The budgeted amount range for this position in New York City, and Connecticut is $83,000 - $100,000
