Job Description

Team Overview

The Product Specialist team serves as the strategic link between Antares’ investment capabilities and the investors we serve. Working across private and liquid credit strategies and within institutional, wealth, insurance, and global distribution channels, the team combines investment fluency, product expertise, and commercial judgment to support capital formation, investor diligence, product readiness, and go-to-market execution.

The team partners closely with investment professionals, Investor Development, Investor Relations, Marketing, Compliance, Capital Solutions / Structuring, Operations, and other internal stakeholders to position products effectively, support fundraising and diligence, maintain investor-ready content, and help bring new investment solutions to market.

Role Overview

The Product Specialist, Associate, will support senior Product Specialists in executing against strategy and channel priorities, with responsibilities spanning investor diligence, sales and distribution enablement, market and peer analysis, product content, and product development support.

This is an execution-oriented, highly cross-functional role suited for a candidate who can translate complex investment concepts into clear, investor-ready materials, manage multiple workflows with precision, and build the strategy fluency required to support investor-facing activity over time. While the role supports broader platform initiatives as needed, the initial emphasis is expected to be on private credit offerings with liquidity components, and related distribution priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Support senior Product Specialists across strategy and channel initiatives, including private credit vehicles such as BDCs, levered / unlevered draw-down funds, and related institutional, wealth, and insurance distribution priorities.
  • Support and help scale investor due diligence and product diligence processes for prospective investors, including coordinating internal workflows, synthesizing diligence inputs, and preparing follow-up analyses and materials.
  • Partner with Investor Development (Wealth and Institutional), Investor Relations, Marketing, Compliance, and investment teams to develop, update, and maintain investor-ready materials, including presentations, DDQs, RFP responses, market briefs, commentaries, and thought leadership content.
  • Develop market intelligence and peer benchmarking across relevant products and vehicles, including BDCs, levered and unlevered closed-end and open-end credit funds, insurance-oriented offerings, CLOs, and other structures relevant to Antares’ growth priorities.
  • Coordinate product readiness across key distribution and subscription platforms, helping ensure approved materials are current, version-controlled, and consistent with source-of-truth positioning and disclosures.
  • Partner with investment teams to maintain working knowledge of portfolios, strategies, and market views in order to support investor meetings, diligence calls, and follow-up requests; over time, represent strategies alongside senior Product Specialists and investment professionals as appropriate.
  • Contribute to product development and launch workstreams by synthesizing investor demand trends, channel feedback, and competitive intelligence and by partnering with Capital Solutions / Structuring through internal approval and launch processes.
  • Help build and maintain tools, trackers, dashboards, intake forms, and standard checklists that improve evergreen product execution and workflow efficiency.
  • Partner with Investor Services and Operations on onboarding and ongoing servicing readiness, with a focus on diligence support and distribution execution rather than routine onboarding or subscription remediation.
  • Use firm-approved AI tools to improve research, drafting, synthesis, and workflow efficiency while applying sound judgment, confidentiality controls, and compliance standards.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in product specialist or client portfolio management, investor relations, capital markets, credit underwriting, or similar experience in leveraged finance or related markets.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Effective organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, including financial analysis.
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and supporting multiple stakeholders.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting private credit and liquid credit investment strategies or a strong understanding of credit and credit funds
  • Demonstrated proficiency using approved AI tools such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot to improve drafting, analysis, synthesis, or process automation, together with an understanding of responsible use and data-handling constraints.
  • Familiarity with institutional and/or wealth distribution channels in credit or other alternatives is a plus.

Skills

  • Ability to analyze and evaluate market, product, and portfolio-related data and translate findings into clear recommendations and investor-ready materials.
  • Strong presentation development and written content skills, including the ability to distill complex investment concepts for different investor audiences.
  • Strong financial analysis, research, benchmarking, and content-governance capabilities.
  • Strong project management and workflow coordination skills across multiple internal teams.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to use AI-enabled tools responsibly to improve productivity and output quality.

Competencies

  • Commercial awareness and understanding of market dynamics, investor needs, and product positioning.
  • Analytical thinking and sound judgment.
  • Detail orientation and commitment to high-quality execution.
  • Collaboration and ability to work effectively across investment, commercial, operational, and control functions.
  • Accountability, ownership, and follow-through in a demanding environment.
  • Clear and confident communication, both written and verbal.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new strategies, vehicles, and channels quickly.
  • Integrity and discretion in handling sensitive information.

The Fine Print

  • Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must be willing to comply with pre-employment screening, including but not limited to drug testing, reference verification, and background check.
  • Must be willing to work from the Chicago or New York office.
