We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Administrative Specialist – Managerial Support to join our Corporate team. This role is located in Lake Mary, Pittsburgh or New York.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Independently complete a wide range of advanced and complex administrative activities supporting one or more managers responsible for leading a group or department up to level M, and/or a moderately sized team (6-10 individuals).
- Manage daily activities and administrative tasks including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and minutes, making travel arrangements, and maintaining calendars for assigned manager(s) and/or team.
- Exercise autonomy in troubleshooting diverse and complex issues, prioritizing competing requests, and negotiating work priorities with managers and team members.
- Participate in ad-hoc special projects or administrative initiatives, conduct research, compile and analyze information for reports and correspondence, and collaborate across teams to facilitate information gathering and project execution.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Proven experience performing advanced, diversified, and sometimes confidential administrative duties requiring broad knowledge of organizational policies and procedures.
- Strong ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, and switch focus as needed in a dynamic environment.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in standard business software including word processing, email, and spreadsheets.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, tact, diplomacy, and discretion in handling sensitive information and interacting with leaders and internal/external contacts.
- Experience providing advice or training to new or less experienced team members is a plus.
BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $52,000 and $60,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
