SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE 

AriZona Beverages, a globally recognized brand known for its bold, colorful identity, is expanding its custom merchandise and apparel business. We are seeking a detail-oriented Associate Technical Designer to support the development and production of apparel and branded merchandise, including jackets, hoodies, shirts, outerwear, hats, windbreakers, and other garments and textiles.

This role bridges creative design and manufacturing execution. The Associate Technical Designer will be responsible for creating accurate tech packs, translating design concepts into production-ready specifications, and collaborating closely with vendors to ensure quality, fit, and brand consistency.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

  • Develop detailed tech packs for apparel and merchandise, including measurements, construction details, materials, trims, and finishing specifications. 
  • Translate creative concepts and design sketches into production-ready garments and patterns. 
  • Collaborate with design, product development, and external manufacturers to ensure accurate execution of designs. 
  • Review and approve samples (proto, fit, PP samples), providing clear and actionable feedback to vendors. 
  • Ensure consistency in fit, sizing, and construction standards across product categories. 
  • Maintain and update spec sheets, grading, and measurement standards. 
  • Troubleshoot production issues and recommend solutions to improve quality and efficiency. 
  • Manage timelines to ensure on-time delivery of samples and production milestones. 
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure finished products meet AriZona brand standards. 
  • Support the expansion of AriZona’s apparel line by contributing to process improvements and technical innovation. Serve as a communication lead for the team by establishing meeting agendas, capturing notes, and distributing clear action summaries.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • 1 to2 years in technical design, apparel development, or a related field.
  • Recent graduate from a fashion school would be a great fit.
  • Strong experience creating tech packs and garment specifications for production.
  • Eye for fashion, color, and trend, with the ability to interpret brand aesthetics into commercially viable products.
  • Experience with apparel design processes, including sketching, concept development, and translating ideas into production-ready garments.
  • Solid understanding of garment construction, pattern making, grading, and fit.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, CAD, and/or PLM systems. 
  • Experience working directly with overseas manufacturers and vendors. 
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues. 
  • Knowledge of fabrics, trims, and production processes. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 
  • Interest in streetwear, lifestyle apparel, and branded merchandise aligned with AriZona’s aesthetic.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This is a full-time, on-site position based in our Woodbury, Long Island, NY office.
  • Office-based role with cross-functional collaboration between design, marketing, and production teams.
