Job Duties: Design, develop and maintain enterprise level scalable, extensible, and high performing applications using languages like Java, Python, JavaScript, Protobuf, Junit, C, C++, Perl; knowledge with frameworks and technologies such as but not limited to SQL and Non-SQL databases, Spring, Hibernate, Ignite, Cassandra and Kafka JMS, REST APIs, Postman; performance testing and analysis tools such as Jmeter to identify performance bottleneck and improve overall system throughput; performance monitor tools such as Splunk, Grafana, AppDynamics to monitor the health of the system, identify and react to issues ahead of time; methodologies including test driven development, object- oriented design and programming, multi-threading, design patterns, and software development best practices. Support the entire software development life cycle, from project initialization, requirement gathering, to application design, system architect and development, unit and regression testing, deployment, and production support. Utilize Agile development methodologies for day-to-day work and planning. Work with various teams and subject matter experts to build relationships, and participate in teamwork to analyze the dynamics and critical time frame nature of the accounting services business. Create technical design documents to describe the planned solution and the upstream and downstream dependencies. Identify and resolve current production issues and determine proper resolution in a timely manner with minimal client impact.

Qualifications: Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Finance or related field and 12 months of experience in job offered or closely related role. Alternate experience includes Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Finance or related field and 36 months of experience in job offered or closely related role. Position requires one year of experience in the following: Enterprise level software development languages including Java, Python, SQL, Protobuf, Junit, C, C++ and Perl; Frameworks and technologies including SQL, Spring, Hibernate, Ignite, Cassandra, Kafka, JMS, REST APIs, and Postman; Performance monitor tools such as Splunk, Grafana, AppDynamics to monitor the health of the system, identify and react to issues ahead of time; Enterprise software testing including unit testing, end to end integration testing, regression testing, performance testing, and mutation testing; Object oriented design and programming, multi-threading, different design patterns, and software development best practices; Modern software development life cycle management, including agile development, building and maintaining efficient CICD pipelines; Software defect resolution and production support; API development; and Data Analytics.

For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$158,000.00 - USD$210,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
