Program OverviewEach internship offers educational opportunities and direct exposure to Atlas Obscura's unique mission of inspiring wonder and curiosity about the incredible world we all share.
These internship positions are designed as training-based opportunities focused on providing students and recent graduates with practical experience in media, digital content, and business operations. As educational internships, these positions are unpaid but offer hands-on learning experiences, mentorship from experienced professionals, and the opportunity to build a portfolio of work with a recognized brand. We are happy to work with your school to provide any necessary documentation for you to receive course credit.
Focus Areas- Social Distribution: Our interns will learn about the daily content scheduling and posting across Atlas Obscura's social channels. This position offers hands-on education with social media strategy, content calendar management, and audience engagement across multiple platforms, providing valuable insight into digital marketing for a mission-driven media company.
- Community Engagement: Our interns will create content with our community and brand teams to serve and engage our audiences, and to learn about audience-driven content creation.
