About the Position

We are looking for an Audio/Video (AV) Engineer with a strong project delivery background to design, implement, and support our growing AV/UC infrastructure. Technology is a key component of Jane Street’s core business, and our AV needs are evolving as we grow.

The scope of this role is broad. You will join a team responsible for the integration and support of all audiovisual systems, including our meeting rooms, live event spaces, IPTV/digital signage and media suites. You should be passionate about audio/video technology and motivated to evolve solutions, from POC trials and iterations on design standards to the orderly deployment of technologies and systems en masse.

You’ll be expected to provide exceptional technical expertise, whether troubleshooting directly with end users or as the AV subject matter expert on a construction project team. The success of complex projects will depend on your close collaboration with our internal Engineering and Infrastructure teams to ensure the technical needs of each AV project are fulfilled. This includes developing scopes of work, meeting critical milestones, document review, and effective communication with both internal and external teams.

About You
  • 8+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Able to multitask and manage competing priorities
  • Possess a track record of project delivery, from concept phase to client handover
  • Driven to plan and organize projects and schedule packages of work
  • Experienced with Crestron, NDI, Shure, QSC and Dante technologies, as well as Cisco video conferencing solutions
  • Have an understanding of networking fundamentals (i.e., VLANs, subnetting, basic routing and other network functions)
  • Experienced with designing and supporting AV-heavy spaces such as meeting rooms, classrooms, auditoriums/lecture halls and recreation spaces
  • Comfortable assisting with the technical production and hands-on support of events
  • Accomplished in providing excellent in-person and remote support with tools like Zoom, Webex, etc.
  • Willing and able to travel to other offices as needed
