Job responsibilities:
Serve as the finance partner to the Data, Digital and GenAI leadership team, creating financial strategy and aligning investments to enterprise objectives
Translate complex technology initiatives into clear concise financial narratives for senior leadership
Lead the annual operating budget and quarterly forecasts for this group
Provide senior management with accurate and timely information necessary to make strategic operating decisions
Own monthly performance reviews, KPI development, and variance analysis with key expense owners to ensure operating goals are met
Proactively identify and report metrics/ leading indicators to identify any risks & opportunities to meet the annual expense targets
Manage day-to-day responsibilities including ad hoc requests, headcount analysis, other key expense analytics like professional fee spend etc.
Lead the development of business cases for investment initiatives to drive value through revenue enablement/ expense reduction
Partner closely with Controllers during the month-end close to ensure technology spend is accounted for appropriately, including capital and expense treatment on investments
Ensure strong financial controls and transparency across the portfolio
Partner with Procurement to support vendor selection and contract negotiations by providing financial insights
Coordinate budget and forecast commentary with global FP&A to assist in the preparation of quarter-end analytics, board of director presentations and CEO/CFO requests
Lead and develop a team of Finance business professionals, including onshore and offshore resources
What we are looking for:
Degree in accounting or finance field preferred but not required; advanced degree or CPA a plus
10+ years of experience in expense management; experience in financial services industry a plus
Prior experience with financial support in software development and accounting for SaaS software arrangements is a plus
Process focused mindset. Ability to identify optimal process flows and work with onshore/offshore teams to implement.
Ability to communicate complex ideas to senior business leaders, and a desire to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Ability to integrate strategic and operational information into quantitative analysis and succeed with time, resource, and information constraints
Experience in managing a global team
Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills
Highly motivated, self-starter and ability to multi-task
Team player with good problem-solving skills who is willing to learn
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Experience with Apptio and Anaplan a plus.
The ideal candidate should be highly motivated and have experience with quantitative and strategic analysis.
For positions based in New York, the base salary range is $165,000-220,000. For positions based in New Jersey the base salary range is $155,000-210,000. In addition, the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
