SimpsonScarborough is a fully remote higher education marketing agency of approximately 70+ employees working coast to coast. We're looking for a Growth Marketing Director who can independently turn market intelligence, pipeline signals, and audience behavior into targeted marketing action that generates qualified demand and strengthens relationships with prospective clients.

Reporting to the AVP, Marketing & Community, this is a highly proactive, analytical, and execution-oriented role. You'll work closely with Business Development, agency subject-matter experts, and flexible content and design resources to develop and execute integrated campaigns, content programs, and go-to-market plays that reflect real buyer behavior and commercial opportunity.

What You'll Do

  • Own the translation of marketing strategy into integrated, audience-specific campaigns that generate MQLs and create advantage before an RFP or project opportunity emerges.
  • Continuously analyze HubSpot data, pipeline movement, and content performance to identify patterns, risks, and opportunities — and recommend specific actions based on what the data shows.
  • Develop lifecycle and nurture strategies for distinct audiences, including senior leaders in marketing, advancement, and enrollment at higher education institutions.
  • Use sales intelligence and pipeline signals to identify where account-based or segment-specific marketing plays are warranted, then develop and execute them.
  • Direct and brief content and design resources to produce high-quality marketing assets including thought leadership, emails, case studies, webinars, landing pages, and campaign creative.
  • Serve as a strong editor and quality steward — ensuring all content is useful, distinctive, audience-aware, and consistent with SimpsonScarborough's point of view and brand standards.
  • Activate proprietary industry research into sustained, multi-channel marketing platforms rather than one-time report launches.
  • Partner closely with Business Development to understand buyer behavior and translate commercial intelligence into marketing action.
  • Support SEO/AEO, website strategy, events, conferences, and other owned and paid distribution channels in alignment with pipeline and campaign goals.

What We're Looking For

  • At least 7 years of experience in B2B marketing, growth marketing, demand generation, lifecycle marketing, content marketing, or a related field — experience in higher education or professional services strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to turn audience, market, sales, and performance data into actionable marketing recommendations and campaigns.
  • Strong working knowledge of HubSpot or a comparable CRM and marketing automation platform, including dashboards, reporting, segmentation, and nurture workflows.
  • Experience developing segmented lifecycle and nurture strategies for complex B2B buying journeys.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute integrated campaigns across email, content, paid, social, web, webinars, and events.
  • Strong editorial judgment — able to shape ideas, strengthen drafts, and hold content to a high standard without serving as the primary writer for all assets.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize competing opportunities, and move from ambiguity to a clear recommendation and execution plan.
  • Bachelor's degree and/or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Salary, Benefits & Perks

  • Salary Range: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 and will be commensurate with experience
  • Comprehensive benefits package including nationwide health, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) with employer contribution, employer-paid life insurance and short-term disability
  • Flexible time off (FTO) with additional time-off options, including sick, volunteer & bereavement leave, paid parental leave, a day off on your birthday PLUS two agency-wide closures in the summer and winter
  • Monthly lifestyle stipend to supplement your routine wellness costs like streaming subscriptions, gym, or phone/internet costs.
