Our client is a fintech innovator building a trusted trading platform designed for both institutions and active traders. We are looking for a Backend/API Engineer to join the Trading Platform Team. In this role, you’ll help design, build, and maintain the robust API endpoints that power a high-performance trading platform. You’ll collaborate with senior engineers to deliver scalable technical solutions, improve API infrastructure, and support both new features and critical system improvements. This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge financial technology while contributing to a product trusted by demanding traders.

• Build performant and reliable API endpoints.

• Maintain backward compatibility with existing clients.

• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

• Contribute to technical discussions and align solutions with team direction.

• Work on both new features and technical improvements following established roadmaps.

• Collaborate with teammates via pair programming and knowledge-sharing.

• Write comprehensive tests and maintain code quality standards.

• 4–5 years of experience as a professional software engineer, with at least 2 years focused on backend/API services.

• Experience building and deploying backend applications for SPAs, mobile apps, or public API consumption using Node.js. (Experience with Ruby/Rails, Python/Django, PHP/Laravel, Go, or Elixir/Phoenix also considered.)

• Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript, with knowledge of typed languages.

• Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, etc.).

• Proven ability to write and maintain automated test suites.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.

• Experience deploying and maintaining public APIs.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.

• Exposure to modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, Svelte, Ember).

• Experience with gRPC and WebSockets for real-time data.

• Advanced SQL experience (MySQL preferred).

• Background in high-frequency or algorithmic trading.

• Experience in cryptocurrency trading or fintech platforms.
