About Revin

Revin builds AI-powered software for the businesses that keep our homes running: roofing, HVAC, plumbing, remodeling, and more. We help these businesses respond to customers, book appointments, and manage the customer experience across voice, SMS, and email.

Revin handles around half a million customer conversations a month. Businesses with hundreds of millions in annual revenue rely on our products for work that directly affects their customers and their bottom line.

Our customers include Vertex Service Partners, a national roofing and exterior-services platform with over $600M in revenue, and Del-Air, a $300M+ HVAC and plumbing business.

See the impact of our work: we’ve helped Del-Air book 11,000+ membership appointments, while ImproveIt uses Revin to set 34% of its booked appointments.

The role

Build the backend systems that let AI agents work inside the software our customers run their businesses on. You’ll join our Integrations team to turn CRM changes into timely agent actions and give agents reliable ways to look up information, book appointments, and update customer records.

This is a backend and distributed systems role with direct product impact. We build custom integrations with platforms including ServiceTitan, LeadPerfection, AccuLynx, Salesforce and i360, Builder Prime, and SalesRabbit. Each has its own data model, authentication, business rules, and failure modes.

Our backend is primarily Python and PostgreSQL, with asynchronous services and event-driven processing. We value strong engineering fundamentals and the ability to learn unfamiliar systems quickly.

What you’ll build
  • The event pipelines that keep Revin in sync. Ingest CRM changes through webhooks, event streams, and polling; maintain fresh, accurate state; and deliver the events that trigger the right agent workflows.

  • The tools that let agents take action. Build APIs and services for customer lookup, availability, appointment booking, and CRM updates, preserving each system’s business rules and returning clear, accurate results to agents.

The hard problems live at the boundaries: a webhook arrives twice, a stream disconnects, two workers race, or a CRM accepts a booking but the request times out. You’ll design how the system detects, handles, and recovers from these cases, so customers can trust what our agents do.

What you’ll do
  • Design reliable event processing. Work through ordering, deduplication, retries, rate limits, concurrency, and backpressure. Build recovery and replay paths that preserve correctness as integrations grow.

  • Make CRM actions dependable. Design clear API contracts, validate inputs and results, and handle partial failures and uncertain write outcomes without creating duplicate or inconsistent records.

  • Build and deepen integrations. Understand partner APIs and customer workflows, add new capabilities, and develop shared components that make integrations easier to extend and maintain.

  • Protect data integrity and customer boundaries. Design sound data models, secure authentication and credential handling, and correct routing across customer accounts, brands, and locations.

  • Own reliability in production. Instrument data freshness, processing lag, and action success; make failures diagnosable; and build tests, alerts, reconciliation, and recovery tools that prevent recurring issues.

  • Shape the platform with the team. Partner with agents engineers, product, and forward-deployed engineers to prioritize customer needs and make clear tradeoffs around correctness, latency, complexity, and cost.

At Staff level, you’ll also guide architecture across the integrations platform, establish stronger patterns for event processing and external actions, and raise the broader team’s effectiveness while remaining hands-on.

What you’ll bring
  • Substantial experience building and operating production backend systems. You can explain the systems you owned, the design decisions you made, how they behaved under failure, and what you improved.

  • Strong distributed systems judgment. You’ve worked with asynchronous processing, queues or streams, concurrency, consistency, and retries, and understand how to preserve correctness when parts of a system fail.

  • Experience working across system boundaries. You can build reliable integrations with external APIs, reason about their constraints, and turn unfamiliar data models and business rules into maintainable software.

  • Strong programming and SQL skills. You’re comfortable with data modeling, transactions, and production debugging, and can work effectively in our Python backend. We care about depth of understanding and execution more than familiarity with a particular framework.

  • Ownership and clear communication. You investigate problems end to end, surface risks early, and explain technical tradeoffs in terms of what customers and the team need.

  • A desire to work in an early-stage startup. You’re energized by broad responsibility, rapid iteration, and high standards. We use AI programming tools heavily and expect you to use them effectively while owning the quality of your work.

Nice to have
  • Experience with CRM, scheduling, payments, or other operational systems where data correctness and reliable actions matter.

  • Experience with change data capture, synchronization, backfills, or reconciliation across external systems.

  • Experience building tools or APIs used by AI agents.

  • Experience at a strong startup or on a small team with substantial ownership.

Why join Revin

Your work determines which businesses Revin can serve and what our agents can actually do for them. A new integration opens up a customer segment; a more reliable booking or data pipeline improves the experience of businesses using Revin every day.

We’re still early. You’ll join a small team of sharp, ambitious people, have substantial influence over the architecture of a core part of the product, and receive meaningful equity ownership with the opportunity to share substantially in the upside you help create.

Compensation and benefits
  • $225,000–$325,000 base salary, with final compensation dependent on level

  • Meaningful early equity in the company you’re helping build

  • Excellent health coverage. $0 employee premiums for individual medical coverage on most plans, plus dental and vision insurance

  • 401(k) matching up to 4% of salary. Contribute 5% to receive the full match

  • Unlimited PTO

  • Commuter benefits

  • Free lunches and dinners in the office

  • $100/month gym membership stipend

  • Tech equipment of your choice
