Summary

We are currently seeking an Events & VIC Specialist who will report to the Head of Client Engagement, Americas.
YOUR OPPORTUNITY
The Events & VIC Specialist leads the VIC and client development strategy, with cross-functional efforts across retail in the Americas to enhance VIC recruitment, foster repeat engagements, ensure retention, and reactivate clients. This role oversees the execution of all in-store activations, out-of-store experiences, and client gifting.

Job Description

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

  • Ensure retail events and client gifting reflects the development strategy to grow client portfolios.
  • Lead the 1:1 clienteling strategy in partnership with the Head of Client Engagement and Market leaders by defining segment targets for Activation & Gifting to drive results.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Client Engagement and Market leaders to optimize the global catalogue of activations, gifts, and experiences and ensure each initiative resonates with local clients.
  • Support markets to define & implement local strategies, with a focus on key stores.
  • Manage the corporate budget to enhance client development.

GIFTING

  • Supervise all client gifting for holidays, life celebrations, and special projects.
  • Manage the full project lifecycle for all gifting campaigns
  • Ensure seamless logistics, distribution, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with stores to monitor performance and gather feedback on gifting initiatives.
  • Oversee the gifting budget, target, and relevant tracking.

EVENTS

  • Responsible for all activations and experiences across the Americas region in line with brand image, global concepts, and budget allocation.
  • Manage the calendar, planning, and execution of all in-store activations and out-of-store experiences, including collection previews, launches, and store openings.
  • Lead the communication with stores to ensure full alignment on run of show and objectives.
  • Source/manage vendors and external partners in local markets.
  • Oversee vendor invoices, events budget, and relevant tracking.

VIC

  • Partner with the  Head of Client Engagement and Global VIC Project team on Fashion Shows multiple times per year, including organizing VIC hospitality and hosting (international travel required).
  • Elevate VIC insights and personalized experience journey in partnership with the  Head of Client Engagement, Global Client Development team, Market leaders, and store management.
  • Manage VIC preorders including post-show resee orders, retail remote orders, and made-to-measure requests
  • Lead the communication with stores on all open order inquiries.
  • Keep track of VIC KPIs including retention, upgrade, and qualitative knowledge to improve outreach and engagement.
  • Support with VIC/VIP/Couture activities, e.g. galas, private dinners, external events.
  • Spearhead ad hoc VIC projects required to drive top client engagement and loyalty.
WHO YOU ARE
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Events in luxury retail fashion industry
  • Prior work experience as key owner on large scale projects for full lifecycle, from ideation through execution
  • Prior experience in a Client/VIP-facing role
  • Flexibility to travel and work ad-hoc hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lead meetings/calls with a large audience of Market Directors and store leaders
  • Advanced skills in Excel and Power Point are mandatory
  • Excellent project management skills
  • High understanding of luxury environment & highly client oriented
  • Able to conceive and drive projects forward
  • Highly organized, detailed oriented and able to prioritize tasks based on the needs of the business
  • Outstanding communication and influence skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
  • Experience with confidentiality
  • Must be resourceful, a problem-solver, and a team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • A positive attitude, openness, listening abilities, curiosity, and a willingness to learn and improve
  • Adaptability, agility, and ability to work in a fast-paced, often-changing environment
  • High availability, responsiveness

COMPENSATION

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, BALENCIAGA includes a reasonable estimate of the salary or hourly rate range for this role. This considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications. In addition, where a candidate falls within the disclosed range estimate may be dependent on the applicable geographic differential associated with the location in which the position may be filled.  

A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $85,000 USD to $95,000 USD.
