Position Overview

The foster parent recruiter is responsible for the onboarding and recruitment of new foster parents for the Westchester Foster Care Recruitment program. Serves as first person to vet prospective foster parents for program. Participates in recruitment activities, responds to inquiries, registers prospective foster parents for orientation and trainings, conducts foster parent orientation and other trainings as needed. Collects all mandated documentation needed for foster parent licensure. Track all recruitment efforts and meet milestones set forth by agency and Westchester Department of Social Services. Represents the agency at community functions and communicates CV values and expectations to prospective foster families. Is able to conducts conversations, orientations and trainings in both English and Spanish.

Position Qualifications:

BA/BS with one year experience in child welfare preferred; AA or equivalent credits with two years experience in child welfare will also be considered. High School Diploma required. Recruiting experience required and training experience preferred. MAPP, Mini-MAPP, GPS II/NTDC certified and TRIPP certification preferred. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, writing and computer skills. Fluent in English and Spanish. Must have a valid license and access to a working vehicle.
