Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Specialist to join our remote finance team. In this work-from-home role, you will be responsible for preparing and processing invoices, maintaining accurate billing records, resolving billing inquiries, and ensuring timely payment processing. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, review, and process customer invoices accurately and on time.
- Maintain billing records and ensure all financial information is up to date.
- Verify billing data, pricing, and payment details for accuracy.
- Respond to customer billing inquiries via phone, email, and online communication platforms.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies promptly.
- Process account adjustments, credits, and payment applications when necessary.
- Monitor outstanding invoices and assist with payment follow-ups.
- Collaborate with the accounting and customer service teams to resolve billing issues.
- Maintain confidential financial information and company records.
- Generate billing reports and assist with month-end reconciliation activities.
- Perform data entry and general administrative duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is a plus).
- Previous experience in billing, accounting, bookkeeping, customer service, or administrative support is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of invoicing and financial recordkeeping.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and accounting or billing software is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
