About the Role
We are looking for a curious and motivated Analytics Engineer who combines strong analytical thinking with software engineering fundamentals. In this role, you will work closely with Product, Business, and Engineering teams to transform data into actionable insights while contributing to the development of internal analytics tools and data platforms. This is an excellent opportunity for students who enjoy solving business problems with data and are interested in building scalable analytics solutions through programming and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, analyze, and interpret data to support business decision-making and product optimization.
- Develop Python scripts and SQL queries to automate data processing, reporting, and analytics workflows.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of internal analytics platforms and business applications by leveraging your understanding of front-end and back-end systems.
- Assist in deploying and maintaining cloud-based data services and analytics applications.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Business teams to deliver analytics projects on schedule and coordinate project milestones across stakeholders.
- Document analytical methodologies, technical solutions, and project outcomes to promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Education
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
- Major in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Technical Skills (Candidates should possess most of the following qualifications:)
- Proficiency in Python with experience in data processing and automation.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Hands-on experience in front-end and back-end application development through coursework, personal projects, research, or internships.
- Exposure to at least one major cloud platform, such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Alibaba Cloud, or Tencent Cloud.
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative software development workflows.
- Soft Skills
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Experience coordinating projects or collaborating across teams through student organizations, research projects, internships, or extracurricular activities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn new technologies and business domains.
Preferred Qualifications (Experience in one or more of the following areas is a plus)
- Data analysis libraries and BI tools such as Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Web development frameworks including Flask, FastAPI, Django, React, or Vue.js.
- Machine Learning, AI applications, or Large Language Model (LLM) projects.
- Docker, CI/CD pipelines, or cloud-native development.
- An active GitHub profile, open-source contributions, or a technical portfolio.
