Blackstone Credit & Insurance (“BXCI”) is one of the world’s leading credit investors. The successful candidate will join BXCI’s Product team and will support the ongoing fundraising, marketing and client relations efforts for the Liquid Credit Strategies (LCS) business. This hire will lead product development, strategy, and management for a subset of credit and/or insurance strategies, and spearhead multiple projects at one time spending significant time with senior leaders across Blackstone and BXCI in the U.S., Europe and Asia, including the investment, ICS client coverage, portfolio management, legal & compliance, and finance & operations teams.

The main areas of responsibility include:

  • Support product development and new product launches including the planning, process, and implementation of business development and structuring initiatives for new funds and separately managed accounts (SMA)
  • Serve as a subject matter expert across liquid credit strategies (e.g., high yield, leveraged loans, CLOs, structured credit
  • Develop content that reinforces firm’s credibility in credit investing (presentations, webinars, publications)
  • Supporting messaging, product positioning, and content creation for internal and external communications, working collaboratively with business leaders and various teams within Blackstone including public affairs and BXCI leadership
  • Lead the development of marketing materials including pitchbooks, fund updates, RFP/DDQ responses, and white papers
  • Defining and documenting the competitive landscape, including investment mandates, terms, performance, reporting, investor base, and informing product development
  • Supporting Fund, SMA, and onboarding of clients, working closely with ICS, COO, CFO, investment team, ESG, legal & compliance, finance & operations, and tax
  • Executing strategic projects including business development initiatives, process improvements, team optimization and development, and events
  • Train sales teams on product positioning, key differentiators, and market developments
  • Responsibility for day-to-day management, training, and mentorship of product specialist team members

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of professional experience
  • Highly motivated and excellence in prior endeavors
  • Must multi-task and execute a wide range of assignments, often under competing deadlines                                                    
  • Produce creative, compelling, and detailed marketing materials and interpret and present complex investment concepts in a simplistic manner
  • Client-focused with experience aligning processes, procedures, systems, and personnel to meet the needs of clients
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Enthusiasm to provide hands-on training
  • Strong project management capabilities
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Team-oriented individual who thrives on challenge in a dynamic environment and effectively prioritizes responsibilities and deadlines
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic and desire to work effectively, both independently and in a collaborative team environment
  • Professional integrity, motivation, and intellectual curiosity
  • Prior work experience in investor relations, credit, and/or finance is required

Expected annual base salary range:

$185,000 - $200,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the role consist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses. Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone’s sole discretion.
