Private Wealth was established to answer the growing demand for Blackstone products from high-net worth investors. Partnering with many of the world’s largest private banks and wealth management firms as well as family offices, Blackstone’s Private Wealth team packages and delivers the full breadth of Blackstone’s alternative product capability to these firms and their clients and provides ongoing product and advisor support, as well as education and training around alternatives. 
 

Blackstone Private Wealth is seeking a Vice President to join the Strategic Partnerships Group, with a focus on the Defined Contribution (DC) channel. This role is responsible for building and advancing strategic relationships across the DC ecosystem, supporting the growth and adoption of Blackstone’s alternative investment solutions within retirement platforms. The position requires strong relationship management skills, cross-functional coordination, and deep engagement with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships with key DC distribution partners, including recordkeepers, advisors, consultants, home office research teams, and other DC ecosystem stakeholders.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for partner home offices, leading the execution of pipeline opportunities, fund onboarding, diligence processes, and partner-driven events to deepen engagement and drive adoption of Blackstone’s alternative investment solutions.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (including Sales, Product, Investor Services, Marketing, and investment business units) to advance pipelines, support onboarding, and drive fundraising initiatives.
  • Oversee distribution and pipeline trackers to capture partner feedback and ensure DC product development aligns with market needs.
  • Stay current on DC industry trends, competitive dynamics, platform requirements, and product innovation opportunities, and share relevant insights with internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare presentations and business updates for senior-level management, including pipeline and fundraising status reports.
  • Oversee logistics for meetings, roadshows, conferences, and sponsorships (including speaker preparation, materials, and follow-up), leveraging broader team support to ensure seamless execution.
  • Partner with global colleagues to align processes and support multinational professional relationships.
  • Operate effectively in a highly collaborative environment to advance sales efforts, strengthen strategic relationships, and support key initiatives across Private Wealth and Blackstone’s investment business units.
     

Qualifications:

Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who work well in a team-driven working group, are highly motivated, intelligent, have sound judgment and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. 
 

In addition, the successful candidate must meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (MBA/CFA a plus).
  • 7+ years’ experience in asset management, investment banking or consulting tole.
  • Direct experience as a senior-level key account manager with private banks or wirehouse firms.
  • Series 7 license.
  • Experience selling or marketing a varied set of alternative investment products.
  • Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Self-starter and independent worker.

Expected annual base salary range:

$155,000 - $200,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the role consist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses. Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone’s sole discretion.
