This role is based in New York or San Francisco and open to those who are able to be in-office 2 days per week on a hybrid work model.
About the Team
The marketing team at Patreon is led by the SVP of Brand marketing, who you will report directly to. Your marketing partners will be made up of our creator marketing team, social team, creative studio, video studio and marketing capabilities team. Broader cross functional partners include our communications team, product marketing team and creator team.
About the Role
As the Brand Director, you'll take charge of crafting Patreon’s strategic plan and brand narrative by diving deep into market and consumer insights, as well as the broader cultural context. Your collaboration will be extensive, touching base with key team members from our marketing, product and comms teams, ensuring an integrated and impactful approach across our brand campaigns and all marketing efforts. This role grants you the creative space to shape and drive the brand's storytelling direction and calendar, backed by substantial support to bring your vision to life.
About You
Strategic thinker with a track record of developing and executing multi-channel marketing roadmaps, ensuring alignment between brand storytelling, growth objectives, and business outcomes.
Proven ability to drive cross-functional collaboration at scale, influencing senior stakeholders and aligning diverse teams—including creative, growth, and product marketing—to deliver cohesive brand experiences.
Expert-level knowledge of brand performance measurement frameworks, with the ability to develop and refine proprietary metrics that drive brand equity, customer lifetime value, and competitive differentiation.
Experience architecting and overseeing an annual brand calendar that harmonizes product launches, cultural moments, and market trends to drive sustained engagement and category leadership.
Deep proficiency in integrating qualitative and quantitative data insights to craft compelling narratives that guide brand strategy, campaign optimization, and long-term market positioning.

Patreon operates under a hybrid work model, where employees based in office locations are expected to come into the office two days per week, excluding sick time and paid leave. The goal of this policy is to be intentional about the in-person time we spend together to strengthen the feeling of community at Patreon. Candidates outside of our office hubs are not expected to meet the same requirements.
At Patreon, we believe in fair and transparent pay. In compliance with New York and California pay transparency laws, we are sharing the expected salary range for this role.
The posted salary range is dependent on the location and the level. This range may encompass multiple levels within the role’s job family. The final offer will be based on candidate’s experience, skills, competencies, and geographic location, aligning with the appropriate job level within Patreon’s levelling framework. For remote employees located outside CA and NY, salary may vary based on location and local market conditions.
