The Broadcast Studio Engineer will manage engineering operations, troubleshoot broadcast systems, provide client support, and maintain broadcast equipment.

What you will do:
- Programming knowledge of Evertz EQX baseband router. Working knowledge of Grass Valley Kayenne switchers, Sony camera systems (HDC-2500 or better) and Calrec Apollo or Artemis audio consoles a plus.
- Familiarity with audio, visual, graphic and other systems used in mobile television facilities desirable.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in technical aspects of on site television production with progressive broadcast equipment.
- Ability to interface with clients and provide a high level of service and support.
- Must be willing and able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs., and be willing to seek assistance for anything over 50 lbs. (should not seek to do over 50 lbs. without assistance).
- Perform regular cleaning and inventory checks for the broadcast system/facility.
- Manage and monitor the broadcast system engineering operations at NEP Studios.
- Perform preventative maintenance and trouble shooting while executing changes and engineering updates on the broadcast system.
- Direct the activities of crew members related to the operation of the broadcast system.
- Follow through on repairs, inventory needs, and updates.
- Provide on-site client service and technical support.
- Maintain and file the proper expense reports and technical reports on a per show or other designated basis.
- Ensure proper set-up of cameras and other related video equipment.
- Configure and optimize multiple broadcast and satellite feed/receive links for audio and video quality.
- Monitor and adjust signals using state of the art equipment such as spectrum analyzers, video waveform monitors, and audio/video/data analyzers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Associates or Technical Degree preferred. Various forms of education and experience will be considered.
- 2 years of technical experience required.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with video signal generating equipment.
- Excellent computer skills and experience with a live, multi-camera room preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of broadcast technology, equipment, facilities, and production for major commercial and cable television networks.
