The Business Analyst will be responsible for providing dedicated support throughout the Optum Health Quality team to drive 4+ Stars performance. This position will be responsible for tracking new and current progress on key strategic initiatives and supporting program and analysis needs throughout the team. The Business Analyst will also be accountable for collecting, consolidating, and hashing through data that is defined and owned by various department subject-matter-experts (SMEs) and/or stakeholders. This individual will be extracting data from various sources to generate and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions to support and optimize future business decisions. This role will manage projects of medium to high complexity.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Research, retrieve, design and deliver organized analytics and reporting
- Review, process, and analyze large amounts of information related to Member Experience outcomes
- Analyze benchmarking data, reports, processes, and measurements related to CAHPS, HOS and Social Determinants of Health metrics
- Evaluate and prioritize data changes and enhancements
- Monitor on a monthly basis all core programs metrics and works with data owners to remediate issues as needed
- Interpret data, facts and/or trends independently and makes business recommendations to management
- Coordinate a variety of projects/requests simultaneously and ensures timely completion in accordance with business initiatives
- Develop innovative approaches to achieve data analytics deliverables
- Design, prepare, modify, and develop selected recurring and ad-hoc reports within given projects
- Manage multiple short and long-term projects

Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of health industry experience and/or in a large complex matrixed organization experience
- 3+ years of experience utilizing and analyzing data to develop resource plans/modeling and tracking
- 2+ years of project coordination, project management, or project administration experience
- 2+ years of managed care, Care Delivery organization, or quality experience.
- Ability to interact one-on-one and consult with all levels of leadership
- Proven excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience working in a matrixed work environment
- Proven solid analytical skills; hands-on experience; ability to quickly aggregate and analyze information and draw conclusions
- Ability to be organized and detail oriented
- Ability to leverage reporting tools like Tableau to identify targeted program data
- Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Experience working remotely
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of HEDIS, CAHPS/HOS, or similar performance measure experience
- Medicare Stars experience, or similar performance guarantee management or quality rating system experience
