About You: 
Versana is looking for an individual who has extensive loan market experience and is passionate about product improvement. As Business Analyst, you will provide vision and prioritize a list of features to drive platform development with our technology team. You will gain hands-on experience in a forward-thinking startup environment by analyzing data, documenting requirements, and advising on design of the system. This role will report directly to one of our Product Managers and play an integral role in growing Versana’s market presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Product Specialists on product vision and execute on plan to achieve success.
  • Build, maintain and prioritize backlog to fulfill product vision.
  • Write requirements, acceptance criteria and detailed test cases for user stories.
  • Participate in daily scrum meetings, planning, refinements, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Support Technology teams in carrying out development.
  • Ensure final delivery meets requirements.
  • Work with UX designer to make wireframes and prototypes and rapidly iterate based on feedback.
  • Prepare internal and external documentation supporting delivered requirements, e.g. Release Notes, User Guides.
  • Provide polished product demonstrations to both internal teams and clients/prospects.
  • Enable Client Support, Client Implementation and Sales Teams on new features, including training.
  • Partner with Client Support team to provide assistance by answering loan market related questions and troubleshooting issues.

Must Haves:

  • 4+ years’ experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • 3+ years’ experience working with Scrum teams.
  • Knowledge of Fixed Income markets.
  • Experience understanding various user personas and journeys, facilitating user-centric design.
  • Independent self-starter with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Strong and clear writing ability.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated attitude and ability to work in a dynamic start-up environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and effectiveness working cross-functionally.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Nice to Haves:

  • Understanding of relational databases, SQL skills a plus.
