Part-Time Business Data Analyst
Duration: 3–4 months
Hours:
- Month 1: ~30 hrs/week
- Months 2–4: ~20 hrs/week
Location: Remote (U.S. Required)
About the Role
We’re looking for a Business Data Analyst to help us bring clarity to internal data and improve operational insights. You’ll work across contracts, systems, and datasets to turn complex information into actionable insights that support scalability and smarter decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Synthesis
- Analyze contract and operational data to identify trends and alignment opportunities
- Compare documented reference states with current system data
- Summarize findings into clear, executive-ready insights and documentation
Contract & Commercial Data Modeling
- Translate contract structures and terms into standardized internal reference models
- Build baseline data views that reflect intended commercial configurations
- Define how contract data should flow across internal systems
Operational Insight Development
- Identify areas for improved data structure, automation, or workflows
- Provide data-backed insights to help prioritize process and system improvements
Systems Enablement (Salesforce & SAP)
- Support mapping of contract and commercial data flows through internal systems, Salesforce and SAP
- Assist with documentation and light workflow design
- Contribute to scalable contract management and tracking capabilities
Knowledge & Data Organization
- Organize internal documentation, datasets, and SharePoint content
- Help set standards for storing and maintaining operational and commercial information
Minimum Qualifications
- Accredited HS Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or operations
- Proficiency in Excel and strong data manipulation skills
- Familiarity with CRM or ERP systems (Salesforce and/or SAP preferred)
- Ability to synthesize insights from multiple data sources and present findings clearly
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field
- Experience with SQL, BI tools, or advanced reporting/dashboard development
- Understanding of contracts, commercial models, or operational data
- Experience supporting reporting or analytics initiatives
