As the Business Development Representative at Nominal, you will be responsible for helping us build a sales and revenue generation machine, setting the stage for our next phase of growth. You will be measured on scheduled meetings and opportunities that you bring to the table. You will also be involved in go-to-market strategy and laying the foundation for a robust sales team and client base. Ultimately, your success will directly impact Nominal’s success!
Responsibilities and Impact
- Generate quality sales opportunities through proactive, strategic prospecting and networking
- Manage all sales opportunities - create and execute a multi-faceted prospecting plan through research, outreach (calling and email), leveraging personal networks, and following up on marketing-generated leads.
- Collaborate with the sales team to set up meetings via cold calls, email, and LinkedIn.
- Write context-based & hyper-personalized messaging.
- Utilize CRM/sales engagement tools to track and manage lead progression.
- Stay informed about industry trends and our product offerings.
- Experiment with messaging, tools, and AI to improve outreach performance
- A bachelor's degree, preferably in economics, accounting, business, or equivalent
- Native English
- Goal-oriented with a passion for sales.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment.
- Tech-savvy: the ability to learn and work quickly with new tools.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- A “go-getter” mindset—you’re proactive, competitive, and don’t wait to be told what to do
- Comfortable hearing “no” and using it as motivation to improve
- Curious and coachable, with a desire to learn sales and grow into a closing role
- Interest in startups, fintech, or AI
