Job Description:
Business Development Manager – Cyber Incident Response
Company Overview
It’s fun to work at a company where people truly believe in what they’re doing — and at Epiq, that belief is backed by momentum. Our Cyber Incident Response business is growing rapidly, fueled by strong demand and our position on dozens of insurance carrier and breach coach panels nationwide. We’re now looking for a proven, high‑performing hunter to expand our footprint and help shape the next chapter of our growth story.
Position Summary
The Business Development Manager, Cyber Incident Response is a highly strategic, outward‑facing sales role focused on expanding Epiq’s relationships across the cyber insurance and legal ecosystems. You’ll identify new opportunities, cultivate deep relationships, and deliver consultative guidance around incident response services including breach notification, call center support, data mining & data review, and credit monitoring services. This is a true hunter role for someone energized by the chase and motivated by building revenue from scratch — not maintaining a static book.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new revenue generation by identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities.
- Build and execute short‑ and long‑term business development strategies aligned with market trends.
- Prospect, network, and develop warm pipelines through sustained carrier, broker, and breach counsel engagement.
- Manage key relationships to ensure high satisfaction, recurring engagement, and long‑term retention.
- Provide consultative selling and serve as a trusted advisor to clients navigating time‑sensitive breaches.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with operations, IR specialists, and service delivery teams to craft customized solutions.
- Represent Epiq at industry events and through public speaking engagements.
- Track performance through analytics, reporting, and pipeline management.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of business development experience with proven success selling cyber incident services — not just software or SaaS.
- Strong background engaging cyber insurers, claims professionals, breach coaches, and law firms.
- Deep familiarity with the dynamics of data breaches, claim workflows, and IR vendor ecosystems.
- Experience selling breach notification, call center, PII/data review, credit monitoring, or related services.
- Track record as a hunter: entrepreneurial, high‑energy, self‑starting, and relationship‑driven.
- Comfortable working remotely and traveling.
Why Epiq
- We’re on dozens of insurance and breach counsel panels.
- Our cyber business is scaling quickly.
- Compensation is highly competitive, with strong base salary plus aggressive commission.
- Work in a company where innovation, speed, and client impact matter.
The Compensation range for this role is 120,000.00 to 150,000.00 USD annually and sales commission plan eligibility.
