The Business Development Associate is responsible for outreach to brands and creators, driving partnerships, managing campaigns, and maintaining CRM hygiene, requiring strong relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities
- This is a high-volume, execution-focused role involving daily outreach to brands and creators. It is best suited for candidates who are motivated by output, speed, and results.
- High-Volume Brand & Creator Outreach Execute daily outbound across email, LinkedIn, and DMs to source sponsorship opportunities and creator partnerships while hitting consistent activity targets.
- Early-Stage Deal & Creator Activation Own the full top-of-funnel process from outreach to initial deal alignment by pitching the Skillz value proposition and maintaining fast follow-up momentum across all conversations..
- Campaign & Partnership Execution Launch and manage brand-sponsored tournaments and creator-driven promotions end-to-end, coordinating across LiveOps, Marketing, and Product to deliver on time while tracking engagement, participation, and deposit impact.
- Partner Relationship Management Maintain active partner relationships through regular check-ins and performance reviews, identifying upsell and renewal opportunities with high-performing brands and creators.
- Pipeline & CRM Operations Keep full CRM hygiene across all prospects and active partners while continuously improving internal tracking tools, deal templates, and campaign briefs.

- Execution Orientation Manages multiple simultaneous campaigns and partnerships.
- Organized & Process-Driven Maintains CRM hygiene and tracks performance across a diverse portfolio.
- Coachable Eager to learn and improve quickly in a greenfield partnership category.
Experience
- 1-3 years in partnerships, sponsorship sales, brand marketing, creator/influencer management, or a closely related role. Minimum 1 year of experience, will accept internships.
- Demonstrated track record of owning external partner relationships - brands, creators, or both.
- Understanding of the creator economy and influencer landscape (platforms, monetization models, audience dynamics).
- CRM experience and strong pipeline hygiene habits.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a minimum of 3.5 GPA.
- Must work out of the NY office, 5 days per week. Relocation assistance not offered / must be based on the east coast or open to self-relocate.
Nice To Have
- Existing relationships within the gaming, creator, or lifestyle brand ecosystem.
- Experience selling sponsorships, branded content, or media placements.
- Experience running sweepstakes, prize promotions, or loyalty-based campaigns.
- Familiarity with gaming (mobile, casual, competitive) as a consumer or professionally.
- Power user of AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) to scale outreach, research brands/creators, and increase productivity.
- Consumer, lifestyle, media, or entertainment industry experience.
Total Starting Compensation including Base + Bonus: $106,00
