As our agency continues to grow, we’re looking for a Business Development Coordinator to support our new business efforts and help keep our growth engine organised and moving forward.
Why This Role Matters
This role is essential to how Gradient shows up in new business conversations. As a Business Development Coordinator, you’ll support senior leadership by managing the flow of opportunities, keeping outreach and follow-ups on track, and ensuring nothing slips through the cracks. You’ll be deeply involved in the behind-the-scenes work that enables strong client relationships and successful pitches.
With Gradient’s expanding international reach, fluency in both English and French is required. You’ll support communication with global and French-speaking clients and partners, helping ensure clarity, professionalism, and cultural fluency at every touchpoint.

What You’ll Do
- Support outbound and inbound new business efforts alongside senior leadership.
- Coordinate outreach, follow-ups, and meeting logistics with prospective clients.
- Serve as a professional point of contact for early-stage inquiries in both English and French.
- Track leads, contacts, and opportunities in the CRM to ensure accurate, up-to-date records.
- Monitor incoming inquiries and route opportunities appropriately.
- Help maintain visibility into pipeline status, next steps, and priorities.
- Assist with scheduling, preparation, and follow-up for new business meetings.
- Ensure leadership has the right materials, research, and context ahead of conversations.
- Track action items and help move opportunities forward after meetings and pitches.
- Conduct research on brands, prospects, and decision-makers.
- Support pitch preparation with briefing documents, internal summaries, and background materials.
- Coordinate with internal teams to gather inputs and align on new business opportunities.
- Help ensure clear communication and smooth handoffs across departments.

Who You Are
- 1–3+ years of experience in coordination, operations, sales support, account support, or a related role.
- Fluent in English and French (spoken and written) — required.
- Based in New York City - required
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Comfortable supporting senior leaders and managing multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Curious about creative agencies, branding, and experiential marketing.
- Proactive, reliable, and calm under pressure.
- Experience in a creative agency or professional services environment.
- Familiarity with CRM tools like HubSpot or Salesforce.
- Experience working with international or French-speaking clients.
- Strong research or writing skills.
