Build partnerships and scalable workflows, recruit and manage clinical providers, improve patient journeys, analyze program economics, and create executive-level presentations and performance metrics for an early-stage healthcare company.
Role Overview
- Title: Lead, Business Development, Patient Experience, Provider Network & Operations
- Company: Utoniya
- Location: New York / Hybrid
- Reports To: Founder & CEO
Utoniya is seeking an entrepreneurial leader for a broad operating role sitting at the intersection of business development, program strategy, provider network development, patient experience, operations, and growth. This role is responsible for taking ambiguous, early-stage concepts and turning them into executable programs, commercial partnerships, scalable systems, and exceptional end-to-end patient journeys.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development & GTM Strategy: Identify growth opportunities, build pipelines, secure strategic/referral partnerships (employers, family offices, physicians), and build go-to-market strategies covering pricing, positioning, value propositions, and distribution.
- Program & Package Development: Translate clinical capabilities into commercially viable programs designed for targeted populations (e.g., executives, high-performing professionals, athletes).
- Provider Network & Operations: Recruit, onboard, and manage high-quality clinical specialists (physicians, psychologists, therapists). Establish operational standards, maintain central tracking, monitor capacity, and prevent network gaps.
- Patient Journey & Experience: Design and oversee the entire patient lifecycle from intake and scheduling through care delivery and ongoing engagement to ensure a high-touch, discreet service experience.
- Care Coordination & Infrastructure: Build repeatable workflows and SOPs across CRM, intake, payments, and communication systems. Coordinate non-clinical workflows across multidisciplinary care teams.
- Financial Analysis & Commercial Modeling: Partner with Finance to evaluate program economics, pricing strategy, contribution margins, provider costs, and break-even targets.
- Executive Presentations & KPIs: Independently author C-suite-ready pitch decks, strategy papers, and operating models. Track and optimize metrics across commercial growth, provider utilization, and patient satisfaction.
Qualifications & Ideal Background
- Experience: 7+ years across healthcare operations, healthcare business development, provider strategy, consulting, or high-growth healthcare startups.
- Clinical & Regulatory Knowledge: Direct experience working with physicians or behavioral health providers, with a solid understanding of credentialing, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
- Technical & Analytical Capabilities: Strong Excel modeling skills (unit economics/pricing) and advanced PowerPoint capabilities for executive presentation building.
- Client Exposure: Preferred background handling sophisticated or high-expectation client populations.
- Mindset: Demonstrated "zero-to-one" building capability, comfortable navigating ambiguity, driving end-to-end accountability, and operating under the framework: Problem → Context → Options → Recommendation → Action → Follow-Through.
