Our founding team includes engineers who have scaled products at Amazon, Google, and multiple unicorn startups. We’re backed by Y Combinator, General Catalyst, Base10, and other top-tier investors, and have raised over $20M to date. Brand-name financial institutions already rely on Greenboard — and we’re growing fast.

About the Role

As a Business Development Representative at Greenboard, you’ll be the tip of the spear for our go-to-market motion, generating pipeline and creating the first conversations that turn financial institutions and regulated businesses into customers. You’ll research target accounts, craft compelling outbound, and turn evolving compliance pain points into qualified opportunities for our Account Executives.

You’ll help shape the outbound playbook in real time, set the tone and energy for a growing sales team, and operate with significant autonomy. Success in this role means creating momentum from ambiguity, opening doors with senior compliance and finance stakeholders, and consistently converting research and outreach into qualified pipeline.

This is a full-time, on-site role at our NoMad, NYC office.

What You’ll Work On
  • Generate qualified pipeline through high-volume, high-quality outbound across SMB, mid-market and enterprise accounts — cold calls, email, LinkedIn, and strategic sequences

  • Research target accounts and personas to craft personalized outreach that resonates with finance, compliance, legal, and operations leaders

  • Run initial discovery conversations to identify pain, qualify fit, and book meetings that convert into opportunities for Account Executives

  • Partner closely with Account Executives and leadership to refine targeting, messaging, and outbound strategy

  • Help shape Greenboard’s GTM motion by testing outbound plays, maintaining clean CRM data, and feeding market insights back into the business

Who Are You?
  • Highly resourceful and self-directed, you thrive in ambiguity and don’t wait for perfect processes to exist

  • Resilient and energized by outbound, you’re undeterred by rejection and motivated by activity and results

  • Clear, concise communicator who builds rapport quickly with both executives and operators

  • Naturally curious about financial infrastructure, compliance, and how modern businesses manage operational risk

  • Competitive, accountable, and excited to help build something from the ground up — including a brand-new office

QualificationsRequired
  • 1–3 years of experience in a customer facing, sales, business development, or pipeline-generation role (fintech, compliance, or B2B SaaS experience is a plus)

  • Proven ability to generate meetings and pipeline independently through outbound prospecting and creative, relationship-driven outreach

  • Comfortable with high-volume outbound activity — cold calling, email, and social selling — and structured discovery to qualify fit

  • Strong CRM hygiene and a data-driven, organized approach to managing your pipeline and activity

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience

  • Based in the greater NYC area, or willing to relocate to work from our NoMad office

Benefits
  • 401(k) with 5% company match

  • $95,000 OTE

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage

  • 15 days PTO + 11 company holidays + flexible sick time

  • 2 additional PTO days for each year of service (up to 10 additional days)

  • 10 remote days per year plus additional around the holidays

  • Bi-annual off-sites and team retreats

  • Front-row seat to building the operating backbone of modern finance
